Project Manager/Area Product Owner

Full-Time
Hybrid

The field of technical translations needs to move forward. Faster processes, greater efficiency, and smart use of automation and AI. We are looking for a project/product manager who will take ownership of this agenda and lead it from initial assignment to tangible results. You will coordinate across teams and the Group, work with suppliers, and most importantly, be responsible for ensuring that things work better than they do today.

Is this you? We hope so!

What will you do?

  • Project management in the area of technical translations – planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, reporting;
  • coordination of activities across teams and the Group (participation in committees and working groups);
  • formulation and defense of the Škoda brand’s position (ideally supported by data);
  • management of external suppliers;
  • implementation of automation and AI in the translation process;
  • oversight of Škoda-specific translation systems and solutions;
  • process setup to ensure they make sense across the entire chain (not just in one step).

What do you know, have, and bring?

  • Experience in project management (ideally in a technical or product environment);
  • cooperation with external suppliers: selection and quality control;
  • experience with implementing automation (general awareness of available options and technologies);
  • communication with stakeholders at various levels – from specialists to Group committees;
  • system thinking – you see the impact of decisions across the process;
  • independence and the ability to take responsibility for the result, not just your part;
  • ability to navigate unclear assignments and turn them into a concrete plan;
  • English and German at minimum B2 level.

Who will you meet at the job interview?

Tomáš Masák
Scrum Master Competence Lead

Tomáš is an agilist at heart. Not only does he lead our team of scrum masters and project managers, but he also isn’t afraid to step in and act as a full-fledged scrum master himself. He sees the agile approach not as a set of instructions but as a mindset – and he applies it in life as well. He moved from Prague to the Vysočina region, where with great dedication (and patience worthy of an agile coach) he is building his own house. When he is not working on a backlog or supervising construction, he immerses himself in developmental psychology. As a former analyst, he tends to break things down into their basic components and then carefully put them back together again.
