Python Developer (Optimization)
We are looking for a Python Developer who will design and develop optimization and decision-support systems for manufacturing and logistics at Škoda Auto. Your solutions will help streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve day-to-day processes – and you will see their impact in real-world operations, not just in spreadsheets. This role is not about developing LLMs, chatbots, or deep learning models, but about the practical application of mathematical optimization.

What will you do?
- Design and develop production-grade Python applications for optimization and decision-making tasks
- Translate real-world logistics and manufacturing problems into optimization models
- Solve combinatorial optimization problems
- Use machine learning methods as a supporting tool for prediction and optimization
- Develop and operate solutions in the Azure cloud environment
What should you know and have?
- Practical experience with Python development (minimum 3 years)
- Experience with production development of containerized applications
- Hands-on experience solving optimization problems (bin packing, knapsack, scheduling, path planning)
- Knowledge of combinatorial optimization and integer linear programming (LP, CP-SAT)
- Experience with machine learning methods (regression, clustering, decision trees)
