System Architect

Green:Code is a unique company that combines Škoda Auto’s 126 years of experience in the automotive industry with Etnetera Group’s more than 20 years of experience in web portal and application development. In this enterprise, we have adopted the best of both companies: diligence, a desire to perfect things, friendly ‘cool culture’, openness, teamwork, professionalism and a constant desire to improve and innovate. We already have a stable set-up, amazing offices and colleagues and an interesting project: this time in the field of Customer Journey. But we still need to find you - a System Architect.

Become a key part of one of the largest digital programmes at ŠKODA AUTO, connecting the entire Customer Journey in a unified ecosystem. We are looking for an experienced System Architect to co-create the architectural vision, set the rules and oversee the quality of solutions across product teams.

What will you do in our organisation?

  • Design and review the system architecture of the Customer Journey programme solution
  • Validate delivered solutions for compliance with architectural rules, standards and integration principles
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop technical solutions including presenting and defending them  stakeholders
  • Address architectural designs with an emphasis on the use of recommended architectural patterns, especially micro-frontends and feature services
  • Participate in the development of architectural guidelines, processes and documentation (including models in ArchiMate)
  • Perform Gap analyses, impact analyses and capability mapping, suggesting ways to improve architecture maturity
  • Collaborate with other architects and system specialists across domains

What can you do, What(skills) do you have? What do you know?

  • Experience as a system or solution architect or analyst (min. 3 years)
  • Analytical and process thinking - ability to navigate complex processes and find ways to optimize them
  • Good knowledge of integration principles, architectural patterns and enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of ArchiMate notations (active reading and orientation in models), UML and BPMN (basics)
  • Good orientation in tools like Confluence / Jira
  • Ability to argue the case for technical decisions and defend solutions to business and IT stakeholders
  • Previous experience working in an agile environment
  • English at B2 level (communication within an international environment)

What else could you use?

  • Knowledge of the ŠKODA AUTO environment or the automotive sector
  • Practical experience with case tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect)
  • Experience with agile environments (ideally SAFe)

One more thing…

The Architectural Governance team connects know-how across different vendors and system teams. We keep an eye on things and help the product teams to ensure that the resulting solution makes sense both from a technology perspective and in the context of the overall Customer Journey programme.

We're not looking for ‘mavericks’ - process thinking and the ability to operate in clearly defined phases (e.g., before and after PI Planning) is key. However, we also expect creativity and a willingness to look for ways to do things better. We value the ability to collaborate, engage in a productive argument and a healthy dose of irony.

Our ART operates largely remotely, so you need to be the master of your time and tasks. And since we don't see each other over coffee every day, we rely all the more on you not being afraid to speak up and communicate proactively.

Is this combination of strategic thinking, communication and technical insight appealing to you? Get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!
