Škoda Auto and Etnetera Group have reaffirmed their shared long-term commitment, taking the development of Green:Code to the next level. By signing a new open-ended joint venture agreement, they are building on five years of successful cooperation. During this time, Green:Code has grown into a strong team of 200 IT experts, became involved in more than 50 projects, and established itself as one of the key pillars of Škoda Auto’s IT strategy in software development and digital transformation.

The success of the project is also reflected in its long-term economic stability. In the most recent financial year, Green:Code’s revenue neared CZK 400 million, and since its founding, the company has delivered services to Škoda Auto and the Volkswagen Group worth almost CZK 1 billion. The team’s core areas of focus include developing internal expertise in mobile applications and entire ecosystems, data-driven development, and B2X web platforms.

Holger Peters, Board Member for Finance, IT and Legal Affairs at Škoda Auto, said:

"Green:Code is a trusted partner in the implementation of our digital products and services. The extension of our cooperation confirms our shared commitment to building capabilities that will be essential for the Škoda digital transformation."

Michael Stening, CIO at Škoda Auto, added:

"Today, we need to deliver software faster than ever before. By combining Green:Code’s technological expertise with its deep understanding of the Škoda Auto environment, and by actively using AI as a key enabler, we can deliver high-quality solutions at the speed required in the AI era while supporting our long-term ambitions."

Martin Palička, Chairman of the Board of Etnetera Group, commented:

"We wish Green:Code continued success in the next stage of its development. We believe the company will continue to play a key role in artificial intelligence and agentic systems, contributing to technologies that will shape the future of digital services and software development for Škoda Auto and the Volkswagen Group."
