Generation Z and World-Changing Technologies Take Over Prague – Future Port Youth 2025 Brings Speakers from Across the Globe
October 16, 2025 – What will the world look like where humans and artificial intelligence live side by side? And how can today’s students prepare for it? The answers will be offered by the global Gen Z technology conference Future Port Youth, which will take place on November 13 and transform Prague’s Nová Spirála arena into a meeting place for students, visionaries, scientists, and tech leaders. Students can also follow the event online, as it will be streamed to partner schools around the world. Held under the auspices of President Petr Pavel and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Future Port Youth is one of the most important projects uniting young active students, innovators, educational institutions, and technological leaders in one day and one place.
“Young people today don’t just want to hear about the future – they want to shape it. At Future Port Youth, we show them not only how to begin and where new opportunities lie, but also that technology itself is not the goal – it’s a tool to make the world a better place,” says Martin Holečko, founder and CEO of Future Port.
“This year, our expanded Expo section will undergo the biggest transformation yet, enriched by displays of breakthrough technologies, partner and education-innovation stands, and opportunities for both students and teachers to explore how technology can empower learning and development.”
Talks, Meet-ups, Expo, and Performances
The conference consists of four key parts. The full-day program centers on talks and interactive debates with speakers from around the world – who will not only appear on stage but stay for the entire event to meet and chat with students. This face-to-face contact adds enormous value, as does networking with representatives of innovative tech companies, non-profits, and other proactive students.
This year’s expanded Expo will feature robots, nanorobots, 3D printing from lunar regolith, space-exploration projects, and AR flight simulators. Students can also look forward to workshops such as AI video creation and white-hat hacking.
“The strongest experience and greatest value come from being there in person. That’s why we’ve introduced a symbolic ticket price this year – which also includes a light lunch. Online attendance for students and teachers remains free – and worthwhile, with a more interactive format, its own moderator, and exclusive backstage interviews,” explains Holečko.
Main Themes of the 5th Edition
Future Port Youth 2025 will focus on major topics such as The Future of AI Society and The New Space Age – examining the impact of artificial intelligence on life, society, democracy, and the commercial exploration of space, along with the opportunities it opens for students. Other core themes include The Future of Making Things and The Future of Food, exploring how technology will transform what we produce and consume.
Confirmed speakers from Europe, America, and Australia include Tony Hunter, world-renowned food futurist; Tina Schlingmann, industrial 3D printing expert and materials researcher; and Czech AI specialist Jan Romportl. Among the most anticipated are Aleš Svoboda, fighter pilot and Czech astronaut, and Gary Lai, former rocket engineer for Jeff Bezos, now working on the next big challenge – mining resources on the Moon.
Student Projects from Three Continents in Prague
A highlight of the conference is the Future Port Youth Awards, honoring innovative student projects that use technology to tackle global challenges. While the first years attracted a few dozen entries, this year – in partnership with the international platform Moonshot Pirates – a record 222 projects were submitted from around the world. An expert jury selected three finalists from the USA, Greece, and Bangladesh, who will present their projects in Prague. The competition recognizes technological and social impact projects, ranging from sustainable climate solutions to new approaches in education and health.
Future Port Youth runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets for students cost 390 CZK, including refreshments and the entire program. For group visits, accompanying teachers attend free of charge. The program can also be watched online for free individually or in classrooms. Participating students can earn an official Europass Digital Skills certificate and an internship certificate for the first time this year. More information about the conference, program, and tickets is available at futureportyouth.com.
Main partners of the conference are Etnetera Group, NN, Green:Code, and Air Bank. Other partners include the National Pedagogical Institute and the Prague Innovation Institute. The event is held under the auspices of President Petr Pavel and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, with financial support from the City of Prague.
